Benefits of Brecon Speakers Club
Founded in January 2008, Brecon Speakers Club has already helped enhance the speaking capabilities and the confidence of its members within a relaxed and convivial setting.
We intend ours to be one of the UK's top Speakers Clubs and to continue to contribute significantly to our members' skills and to the social life of our town and surrounding area.
Over the years, the Club will develop its own character and traditions. We invite you to be with us from this early stage in our existence and to help the rest of us determine exactly where we are going and how best we shall get there.
Brecon S.C. is part of the South Wales Area which, along with Wessex and the Cotswolds Areas, makes up the South-West District. The ASC comprises eight Districts covering all of Great Britain, including the Isle of Man.
The benefits of speaking well in public are increased self-confidence in social situations, interviews and greater promotional prospects at work. Have fun and learn a skill that will last a life time. A speakers club provides a supportive environment for the novice speaker to develop in time, having delivered several speeches and having received instructive feedback on how to improve.
Brecon Speakers Club is already delivering demonstrable benefits to the population of Brecon in view of results in the Area Finals where members of Brecon came out on top of their more experienced collegues from around South Wales.
